More sketches of Princess Eos, I’m liking this design a lot better. I wanted her hair to be a mass of rolls, they came out looking kind of like victory curls, not sure how to feel about that right now. It’ll be fun to do a proper picture with some more details and better colors.
I exercised this morning! It may not seem like much but I’m having such trouble finding motivation that I’m making it kind of a big deal for myself whenever I do. Hopefully I’ll be start exercising a little every day if I keep this up.
I’m also rather surprised I’ve kept up with the magical girl art challenge, I’m almost half way done with it and it’s been a lot of fun. I even got a new character out of it I’ve been refining too. Not sure what I’m going to do with her, I never know what to do with my characters once I’ve made them. But they sure are fun to make!
I haven’t made any progress on the baby stuff lately, drawing is taking up all my creative energies so I think I’ll set aside some time after tomorrow to make a few booties. I like how the other pattern I found came out and my weekend is almost here. I also have some movies queued up to watch I haven’t gotten to yet so that’ll be a nice little treat for myself. I can move my set up over to the easy chair, put on a wrist brace, and just zen crochet for a couple hours. That sounds like a lovely plan.
Ruby’s 31 Day Magical Girl Challenge
Day 13: Evil
I don’t like that evil = black/skimpy/sexy/slathered on make up. I wanted to make a magical girl who looks evil without following those tropes, afterall Princess from PPG doesn’t follow any of those tropes either. I ended up with a regular magical girl with a kind of evil face. I had thought to draw my evil version of Princess Tutu but I think this works well too.
My idea is that the most evil things are the ones that don’t appear evil, that she could come to people as a magical girl and promise to “mend their broken hearts and heal their pain” but instead she just steals their hearts. She has quite a collection already.
Obviously Robert Downey Jr. is auditioning to play Tuxedo Mask, yes?
He could totally play 30th century King Endymion!
